2016 Global Stainless Steel Production Increased By 0.8% Year On Year, Stainless Steel Composite Pipe Fence Will Increase
2016 Asian crude steel production reached 11.25 million tons, an increase of 1.6%. China's crude steel output was 808 million tons, up 1.2% year on year, accounting for 49.6% of the global share from 49.4% in 2015. Japan's crude steel production was 105 million tons, down 0.3 percent year on year. South Korea's crude steel production fell 1.6 percent to 68.6 million tons.
EU crude steel production in 2016 fell 2.3 percent year on year to 162 million tons. Germany's output was 42.8 million tons, down 1.4 percent year on year; Italy's crude steel production rose 6 percent to 23.34 million tons; French production fell 2.3 percent to 14.63 million tons; Spain's output fell 8 percent year-on-year to 13.65 million tons.
North American crude steel production in 2016 was essentially flat at 2015, at 111 million tonnes, with the US down 0.3 percent to 78.62 million tonnes. CIS production increased by 0.8% to 102 million tonnes. Russian production fell 0.1 percent to 70.8 million tons, while Ukrainian production rose 5.5 to 24.22 million tons. South American crude steel production fell 10.6% year on year to 39.22 million tons, Brazilian production fell 9.2 percent year on year to 30.21 million tons.
Last year in December, the global stainless steel crude steel production was 134 million tons, an increase of 5.5%, capacity utilization rate of 68.1%, an increase of 2.8 percentage points. 2016 global average capacity utilization rate of 69.3%, down 0.4 percentage points over 2015.
